Deuteronomy

Teacher: Mark Johnson

Deuteronomy is somewhat a summation of Moses' life. It's at the end of his life where he gives three speeches going over the history of the people. There are some interesting episodes, including how you can tell if your wife is cheating on you. Then a summation of him looking over the Promised Land at the end of his life. He also gives the law again - the Ten Commandments and they are a little different. It's basically a summation of Exodus, Leviticus and Numbers. It sums it and brings the people to the Promised Land as they go in under the leadership of Joshua.

Moses says at one time, "Take my reward, take my promise but save the people." Paul does that also. We'll talk a little about that and how that is a characteristic of God and what we can learn from that.
