The Book of Philippians can be summarized by "Rejoice in the Lord!" (Philippians 3:1). As you read Philippians, think about how Paul could be so joyous writing from a Roman prison and possibly thinking about his time in Philippi - the beatings and imprisonment (see Acts 16). What was Paul's secret to living a life full of joy? Is that joy available to us today?

The message of Colossians can be summarized by "Christ! No more, no less." (Colossians 1:28 MSG). As you read Colossians, think about why that message is so important for us Christians to live a joyful life?
