Peoples and Places in the Bible (History and Geography)

As you prepare for next Sabbath's presentation/conversation please consider the following items.

1. Review and study the various maps that you find in the back of your Bible
2. Ask yourself the question why God chose the land of current Israel as the "Promised Land". Why would God not choose Mesopotamia or other lands of the Levant?
3. What Bible stories can you think of that are made more clear and understandable because you were familiar with the geography, history and topography of that narrative?
