Rebecca is the Community Engagement Elder for Boulder Church, along with being a member of the Prayer Team, the Faith Engagement Advisory, the Community Life team, and a teacher for The Journey Connect Group.
She is a graduate of La Sierra University, with her B.A. in Communications, PR & Advertising and is currently completing her M.A. in Religion-Theological Studies from the Andrews University Seminary in Berrien Springs, MI. Previously, Rebecca worked for the Andrews University Seminary Studies Theological Journal, as well as the Andrews Undergraduate Leadership Department. She has also worked in communications, marketing, and enrollment for higher education.
Currently, Rebecca works as an Administrative Assistant for Boulder Valley Anesthesiology, doing marketing and office management. Her weekends and evenings are spent doing church projects, along with teaching workshops for The Conflict Center in Denver. Her passion for conflict management and communication have led her to a previous internship with The Colossian Forum in Grand Rapids, MI, as well as a certification in Conflict Resolution from La Sierra University.
She is happily married to J. Murdock, Associate Pastor at Boulder Church, and they hold on for dear life to the twists and turns that life in the ministry brings with it. They are looking forward to settling in Boulder for the foreseeable future and spending more time camping, biking, and generally outdoors - away from their laptops.
I choose to partner with Boulder Church because...
It’s a vibrant, progressive, and intellectual community of graceful and supportive people, trying to figure out what an authentic walk with Jesus really looks like.
