John 1 - 4

Teacher: Mark Johnson

Much of the reason John was written was because there were questions about the nature of Christ. Was He really God or not and what was the nature when He was incarnated? Was He really half man, half God?

Then in the third chapter we of course have John 3:16 but we usually quit after 16 and we don't read 17 through 21 which talks a lot about how He is not here to condemn us. He talks about the judgment.

And then in John 4 we have Jesus reaching out very early in the book to reach out to the Samaritans and to the Gentiles.

These are the areas we will be focusing on next week.
