Mark Chapters 11-16 cover the final week of Jesus starting with the triumphal entry orchestrated by Jesus, raising the hopes of His followers that He would be crowned the King of the Jews. By the end of the week, Jesus was crowned and called the King of the Jews – but not in any way they had hoped. To their disappointment, Jesus was crucified on a cross with a crown of thorns and the title, “King of the Jews.”
