Vanessa Alarcon serves as the Pastor for Faith Engagement Additionally, she serves as the church clerk, is a teacher for the Spot (high school) connect group, and is an ongoing writer for the Daily Walk Live Purpose branch for the Global Resource Collective.
Vanessa is a graduate of Andrews University with her Bachelors of Science in Psychology, Minor in Leadership and a Masters in Social Work. During her time at Andrews, she spent three years working for Lamson Hall, the undergraduate women’s dorm, as the Head Student Dean where she led spiritual and social programming. She would spend her summers working at Glacier View Ranch (GVR) as a summer camp staff member, with her last summer serving as Girl’s Director. She served on the Rocky Mountain Conference's Hispanic Youth Federation (FEJA) first as the Worship Director and later as the Communications Director.
She is currently working as a licensed therapist in a three year substance abuse term for the Colorado Health Services Corps delivering individual, family, couples and group therapy. She is in the process of completing the requirements to become an addictions counselor.
Vanessa is married to Ricky Alarcon. Both grew up in pastoral families that moved frequently so they are happy to call Colorado their current and future home until Jesus returns.
