Vanessa Alarcon serves as the Pastor for Faith Engagement Additionally, she serves as the church clerk and is a teacher for the Spot connect group.
Vanessa is a graduate of Andrews University with her Bachelors of Science in Psychology, Minor in Leadership and a Masters in Social Work. During her time at Andrews, she spent three years working for Lamson Hall as the Head Student Dean where she assisted the deans in overseeing the spiritual and social programming of the dormitory. She spent four years working Glacier View Ranch's summer camp program as Support Staff, Office Manager, and Girl's Director. She served on the Rocky Mountain Conference's Hispanic Youth Federation (FEJA) as the Worship Director and later as the Communications Director.
She is currently working as a licensed therapist in a three year substance abuse term for the Colorado Health Services Corps delivering individual, family, couples and group therapy. She is in the process of completing the requirements to become an addictions counselor.
Vanessa is married to Ricky Alarcon. Both grew up in pastoral families that moved frequently so they are happy to call Colorado their current and future home until Jesus returns.
