Prayer Ministry

Ten Days of Prayer 2020

From January 8-18, join the Boulder Church in starting the year with prayer! We believe your life and the lives of those you pray for will be changed as you join in praying for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, whom the Father has promised to give to those who ask Him.

Here's How to Get Involved:

Get a Prayer Partner (or more than one!)

  1. Select a prayer partner to do this experience with. It could be a family member, friend or anyone.
  2. Select a time when you will meet, call, text, video chat or another way to pray, with the goal of being as consistent as possible. For example, calling each other at 6pm each day may be a difficult commitment, but the struggle is part of the goal of prioritizing prayer over everything else (Barring emergencies, of course)

Intercede for Seven

Commit to praying for seven people in your circle throughout this time of prayer. It may be a spouse, coworker, parent, friend, or anyone.  Click the image below to download your prayer card and write the names of the seven people.

Day 1- January 8

A Heart of Flesh

"I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols.  I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.  And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws." Ezekiel 36:25-27

Personal Needs:

Pray for what you can identify as an impurity in your life. What is something, that if removed, would grow you closer to Him? Pray for His Spirit to enter your life to give you a clean heart.

Family Needs:

Pray over a time when you haven't been as kind to your family as you'd like. Pray for kindness to one another just the way Jesus was kind to sinners. Pray to view your family as children of God who are loved and forgiven.

Local Needs:

Pray for improved relationships between neighbors in your local community. Pray so that different cultures will be able to understand and care for one another in your neighborhood, just as God loves each one of us.

World Needs:

Pray for spiritual revival among the Seventh-Day Adventist young people. Pray for those who attend Adventist colleges, those who attend public colleges and universities and those who have chosen other paths.  May they all become vibrant ambassadors for Christ.

Day 2- January 9

Created to do Good Works

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:8-10 (NIV)

Personal Needs:

Reflect on your current works-- the good and the not so good. Thank the Lord for the ultimate gift we have of being saved by His grace.  Pray for a deeper understanding on what God is preparing you to do. Thank the Lord for the gifts He has given you in your unique journey and personality.

Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute. When the demon left, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowd was amazed."

About

About Prayer

We believe prayer is one of the most effective ways we communicate with our Creator. It’s not just something we practice out of spiritual discipline but more importantly something we enjoy doing as a natural consequence of being in a relationship with God and loving (caring for) each other. The Boulder Church Prayer Ministry’s ultimate purpose is to create a global community where we share each other’s joys and burdens through prayer.

How it Works

Send in your (named or anonymous) prayer requests and praises either online or by dropping a card in any of the secured, blue boxes located around the church. Once your requests are received, our prayer team will commit to praying for them daily for at least a week (or shorter if you send in a positive follow-up note).
